Biography

Massimiliano Gagliardi (Naples 1973), graduated in piano in Naples with top marks cum laude. He was noticed by Maestro R. De Simone, who composed for him the cadenzas on Mozart's concerto K. 466, performed with the "Nuova Scarlatti Orchestra" on the occasion of Italian President Ciampi’s official visit to Naples, and for the concert season of the Bari Symphony. 

He is a composer and arranger for theater. He collaborated with director Peter Stein, composing the music for "Boris Godunov" and "Der Park", and worked with artists such as M. Amelia Monti, Mariangela D'abbraccio, Maddalena Crippa, Marina Massironi, Luca Zingaretti, Gianluca Guidi,Gianmarco Tognazzi and others. He was musical director for the centenary of Pietro Barilla (Teatro Regio di Parma). 

Furthermore, he arranged the film "Venuto al mondo" by S. Castellitto. For television, he composed the music for various animated series for the American production "CCI and for the National TV." In the recording industry, he has worked with the Show man Fiorello (Viva Radio 2) and arranged the CD "The Best of" by Peppino Gagliardi. He recently performed at the San Carlo in Naples in the recital "Napule è femmena" and in major Italian theaters, taking care of the musical direction of the official tribute to Giorgio Albertazzi. Since 2018, he has been a professor at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music.]
