On 27 September, at the Kolumba Kunstmuseum in Cologne, a new cooperation agreement was signed for the Musica Sacra Nova Composer’s Competition, an international choral composition competition.
Representatives from six European institutions were present: the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music (Vatican City), represented by our secretary, Dr Marco Lauciani; the Archdiocese of Cologne, the Freundeskreis Abtei Brauweiler, the Magnificat Stiftung München (Germany), the Polish Chamber Choir of Gdańsk, and the Institute of Sacred Music in Warsaw (Poland).
The announcement for the 22nd edition of the competition will be published shortly. It will introduce a new third category and additional prizes, with a deadline for submitting scores of 31 January 2026.
