The course introduces students to research into the traditions of sacred music, with the aid of various interdisciplinary methodologies of religious, social and technological interest, with attention to the liturgical-musical traditions of non-European Catholic communities and those of the Eastern rites.
The Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music awards the baccalaureate (3 years), the licentiate (2 years) and the doctorate in musicology (3 years).
