Graduation Concert (Choir Direction, Licentiate)

On Tuesday, 20 May 2025, in the evocative setting of the Basilica dei Santi XII Apostoli in Rome, Fra Robert Calleja OFM Conv. gave the concluding concert for his Licentiate in Choir Direction, under the guidance of Maestro Walter Marzilli. The event, chaired by Fr. Robert Mehlhart, was attended by a large audience.
The programme, dedicated to the great sacred tradition, included Franz Schubert's Messa D167 and Magnificat D486, the Ave Maria attributed to Guillaume Bouzignac, and Palestrina's Sicut cervus.
Fra Robert Calleja conducted the Polyphonic Choir and Chamber Orchestra of the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music with rigour and sensitivity, together with soloists Maria Grazia Schiavo, Ana Milena Serrano, Derlis González Morel and José Davide Pereira de Barros.
An evening of intense inspiration, between art and spirituality.
