Holy Mass at the end of the Academic Year with the Choir Conducting Class

On 28 May last, the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music celebrated its end-of-year Holy Mass in the Abbey Church, presided over by Fr. Giuseppe Castelli, a prestigious representative of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, and concelebrated by the Rector, Fr. Robert Mehlhart OP.

The music for the celebration, provided by the Choir Direction class, featured soloists Maria Grazia Schiavo, Ana Milena Serrano, Derlis González Morel and José Davide Pereira de Barros, Sr. Cecilia Hong and Roberto Di Buccio at the organ, the Scola Gregoriana, conducted by M° Inga Behrendt, as well as the Polyphonic Choir and the Roman Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Fra Robert Calleja in a performance of Franz Schubert's Messa D167 and Magnificat D486.

A concluding act, which bore witness to the richness of an academic year marked by study, art and community life.
