In the heart of Christendom, under frescoes by Michelangelo, Perugino, Botticelli and Ghirlandaio and in the presence of the highest Vatican and noble personalities the Cappella Musicale Pontificia “Sistina” - conducted by Msgr. Marcos Pavan assisted by the Maestro dei pueri cantores Michele Marinelli - performs the famous Missa Papae Marcelli enriched by the organ improvisations on Palestinian themes by Fr. Theo Flury, in the evening that concludes the celebrations promoted by the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music coordinated by the Rector, Fr. Robert Mehlhart, for the fifth centenary of the birth of the Princeps Musicae.
An extraordinary event in which art, faith and music come together to pay tribute to the father of the famous Roman School that has forever marked the history of Sacred Music.
