Organ Plus - Musical tribute in occasion of the 275th anniversary of J.S. Bach's passing

In the Academic Hall, the fourth concert of the Organo Plus series offered a wide-ranging comparison between choral and organ music. The cantatas "Nun komm der Heiden Heiland" in the versions by Georg Philipp Telemann and Johann Sebastian Bach formed the centrepiece of the evening, interspersed with the "Ciaccona" BWV 1004 in Ulisse Matthey's organ transcription, performed with extraordinary intensity by Maestro Roberto Marini.
The vocal pieces featured soloists Daniela Battioni, Derlis González Morel and Giacomo Balduzzi, accompanied by the String Quartet composed of Valerio Losito, Giuditta Meldolesi, Pietro Meldolesi and Diego Roncalli, together with the PIMS Chapel conducted by Maestro Robert Mehlhart.
An event that illuminated the Advent season through the power of sacred music.
