Organ Plus - Musical tribute in occasion of the 275th anniversary of J.S. Bach's passing

The Organ Plus festival, PIMS' tribute to the 275th anniversary of J. S. Bach, was inaugurated with a passionate opening speech in the Academic Hall by Rector Robert Mehlhart and Maestro Roberto Marini.
Tubist Edgar Dutary and organist Leisbert Moreno opened the first evening with Bist du bei mir, Adagio BWV 564, the chorale O Mensch, bewein dein Sünde groß, and the famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor.
This was followed by soprano Daniela Battioni and organist Alessandra Ciccaglioni performing the Fugue on Magnificat BWV 733, Jesus Christus, unser Heiland, Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland, and Et exultavit from Magnificat BWV 243. In closing, Dom Ezechiele Pereira performed the Prelude and Fugue BWV 874 (Bach–Reger), the Sinfonia BWV 795 (Bach–Bossi), and the Prelude and Fugue BWV 543.
Organ Plus celebrates Bach's immense legacy, which continues to inspire contemporary music.
