Organ Plus - Musical tribute in occasion of the 275th anniversary of J.S. Bach's passing

In the Academic Hall, the third evening of the Organo Plus festival offered an intense programme devoted entirely to Bach.

Lucia Ignone opened the concert with a brilliant interpretation of Fantasia and Fugue BWV 542 and the chorale Schmücke dich. Roberto Di Buccio continued with a powerful rendition of Toccata and Fugue BWV 540, then accompanied soprano Daniela Battioni in two splendid arias from Geistliche Lieder und Arien.

To close the evening, Efisio Aresu performed the Prelude and Fugue BWV 548 and the Toccata, Adagio and Fugue BWV 564 with impeccable solidity.

It was a vibrant concert that combined virtuosity, sensitivity and authentic spiritual depth, as evidenced by the warm applause of the large audience in attendance.
