Masterclass Georgian Chant

The concert by PIMS students concluded the two-day masterclass by Maestro Zurab Tskrialashvili, Principal at the Giorgi Mtatsmindeli University of Chant, dedicated to sacred singing and Georgian folk music: a musical and musicological journey to discover performing styles, traditional instruments and that complex relationship between sound, word and gesture that through music unites seemingly distant cultures in the beauty of song, tradition and faith.
